Userx has just been officially launched on the market as the first Brazilian user research infrastructure platform.
Created from the operation of Smart Research, A Cearense company with over six years of experience in market research and UX Research, the platform was created to solve one of the main bottlenecks faced by Product, Design, and ResearchOps teams: the operational fragmentation of research.
The launch also marks the official birth of userx as Smart Research spin-off, consolidating a new technology front for the group focused on scaling research operations in Brazil.
Research doesn't scale without infrastructure
In recent years, user research has gained strategic importance within technology companies, fintechs, e-commerce, healthtechs, and digital products. Even so, a large part of the operation still happens manually and is distributed across multiple tools.
Recruiting in one system. Scheduling in another. Incentives managed in spreadsheets. Insights scattered across recordings, documents, and different platforms.
It was by observing this reality daily within Smart Research that UserX began to be built.
“The problem with research has never been the method. It's always been where and how it happens within companies,” states Eri Johnson, CEO of userx. “When operations depend on multiple tools and manual processes, research loses timing – and stops influencing important product decisions.”
One of userx's main differentiators is recruitment speed. Profiles that previously took weeks to find can now be accessed in hours, allowing research to keep pace with product sprints.
Userx's proposal is centralize the entire research operation in a single environment.
What is userx?
Userx is a Brazilian ResearchOps platform that connects product teams with real users quickly, efficiently, and at scale.
Among the platform's functionalities are:
- Recruitment of Brazilian participants;
- Management of screeners and quotas;
- Automatic interview scheduling;
- Payment of incentives via PIX;
- Moderate and unmoderated searches;
- Centralized repository of insights;
- Operational dashboard and ROI tracking;
- Integrated management of studies in a single system.
Our solution was designed to reduce operational friction, increase search speed, and allow teams to focus more on decision-making and less on logistics.
The expectation is to significantly reduce the operational time needed to recruit, conduct, and consolidate research within companies.
The platform was built within the Smart Research operation.
Unlike solutions created solely from international benchmarking, UserX was developed based on the real demands of Smart Research's operations.
The platform was already being used and validated in studies conducted for Brazilian companies from different sectors, including brands like Banco Inter, OLX, and Conta Simples.
The Userx system operates on an organization-wide shared workspace model, where researchers, designers, and product managers work in the same environment. The entire study history is recorded in a continuous repository, reducing rework and increasing the reuse of insights over time.
ResearchOps Growth in Brazil Drives Movement
The launch takes place at a time of growing maturity for UX Research and Product Research in Brazil.
As Product, UX, and Design departments continue to grow within companies, so does the need to establish faster, more scalable, and more integrated research operations.
Userx intends to occupy precisely that space.
In this context, the platform's proposal is to centralize steps that today happen in a fragmented way, such as
recruitment, scheduling, conducting, and storing insights.
Focus on technology companies and digital products
Userx's initial focus is on medium and large companies that already have structured Product, UX, or Research teams.
Among the profiles served by the platform are:
- UX Researchers;
- Product Designers;
- Product Managers;
- Product Heads;
- ResearchOps Teams;
- B2B SaaS Companies;
- Fintechs;
- Healthtechs;
- E-commerce sites.
The proposal is to offer operational speed, standardization, and ROI visibility for surveys conducted at different maturity levels.
UserX begins market access and demonstration phase
With the official launch, the company is now beginning its commercial expansion phase and platform demonstrations for interested companies.
Interested parties can request access and schedule a demo directly through official platform website.
With the spin-off, Smart Research maintains its role as a service company, while userx will now operate as an independent product, expanding access to research infrastructure for companies seeking to scale their UX operations in Brazil. userx is born as a spin-off from Smart Research to transform the research operation in Brazil.
